OUR EXCLUSIVE "NAPA VALLEY GREEN FUND" AND GREEN CHECKING ACCOUNT

As an asset to the community, Charter Oak Bank is not only focusing on making our own business greener, we are also leveraging our business banking products. In order to help jump start green activities throughout the Napa Valley, we offer our exclusive "Napa Valley Green Fund", an initiative to actively involve members of the community in efforts to improve the environment - both from an individual and a business stand point. It starts with a green checking account where interested individuals deposit money in an FDIC-insured account and take a few simple green-oriented steps. GREEN CERTIFICATION

In December of 2007, Charter Oak Bank was certified by the Association of Bay Area Governments’ Bay Area Green Business Program as a Green Business. Our environmentally friendly efforts include viewing reports online instead of printing paper versions, using recycled paper and printer cartridges, patronizing services close to our business, using recycling bins at each desk, employing automatic lights and low-flow toilets in the restrooms to conserve energy and water, and donating used furniture to non-profits.

Opt for electronic statements - You can go paperless by requesting Charter Oak Bank e-statements on NetTeller, our online banking system, or call into one of our branches and we can assist you with enrolling.
Utilize online bill pay
Utilize Remote Deposit – Allows business customers to make deposits any time of day without leaving their office.
Reduce check writing by using your Charter Oak Bank Visa/debit card.
Reduce junk mail by sending a letter to Direct Marketing Association, P.O. Box 9008, Farmingdale, NY 11735, asking them to activate the preference service. This also includes the bulk mail addressed to “current resident.”
